“The team left the training session not just with new skills, but also with new ideas for how to apply these tools to solve our real world problems. The Cresset training was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get a maximum benefit from their software.”

Allan Jordan, Head of Chemistry, Cancer Research UK Drug Discovery Unit

Cresset offers a variety of training programs to help you get the maximum benefit from your software.  We’ll give you a chance to work directly with the tools of interest and challenge you to solve new problems. During multi-day training sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle your real world pain points; just bring in your data and we’ll help you use Cresset tools to get the results you’re after.   You’ll leave with new skills and expertise as well as potential solutions to your tricky problems.

Each training session is tailored to individual use, experience and timelines; we’ll help new users feel confident with the software, equip experienced users with expert tactics and ensure the sessions cover exactly what you need, whether this takes half a day or a full week.   Training is usually conducted in the Cresset office (Welwyn Garden City, UK), but on-site training is available if preferred.

Each training session is unique so contact us, and we’ll customize a training package for you.

We also offer free training sesions every year at our User Group Meeting.  To learn more about the user group meeting and how you can take advantage of free training, sign up for our newsletter.

Sample Training Sessions- Approximately half day each session

Medicinal Chemistry training

This session gives medicinal chemists a headstart in designing molecules using fields.   We’ll show you how to use FieldStere to quickly generate new ideas and FieldAlign to decipher SAR and perfect the design of your next compound.  We’ll finish with insider tips for winning an iPad2 in the next Design a Molecule Competition.

Medicinal Chemistry Training
Part 1: Introduction to FieldStere
  • Bioisosterism in Drug Discovery
  • Working in Product Space
  • Using FieldStere to generate new molecules
  • Finding the really good stuff
Part 2: Compound Design
  • Introduction to FieldAlign
  • Selecting your template
  • Let’s meet the GUI
  • Designing your next drug or molecule
  • How to succeed in the Design a Molecule Competition

Computational  Chemistry training

In this session you’ll learn how to use FieldStere to design molecules that match a competitor or pre-existing drug molecule.  We’ll show you how to use Cresset’s command line applications within a variety of  platforms including Knime, Pipeline Pilot and Discovery Studio  and how to  integrate FieldAlign, FieldStere and XedTools into standard workflows.
