Dr Robert Scoffin – CEO
Rob joined Cresset as Chief Executive Officer from CambridgeSoft in April 2010. He has extensive experience in the fields of cheminformatics and molecular modelling, gained over a period of 20 years in the industry. At CambridgeSoft, Rob was Vice President of European Operations where he was responsible for creating the European business and growing it to $20m in annual revenues. Rob has a DPhil in Chemistry from Oxford University.
Dr Andy (J.G) Vinter CChem, FRSC – Founder and Chairman
Andy has forty years experience in the pharmaceutical industry with Beechams, Ciba, Maybridge, The Wellcome Foundation and SmithKline & French. Since 1990 he has been a Scientific Consultant and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge and is also a Visiting Professor at University College London. Andy was the scientific founder of Cresset.
Dr Mark Mackey – Chief Scientific Officer
Mark’s PhD in Chemistry at Cambridge was followed by experience in molecular modelling and software development at Napp Pharmaceuticals and at Merck, Sharpe and Dohme. He was one of the founders of Cresset. Mark became Chief Scientific Officer of Cresset in January 2011.
Dr Tim Cheeseright – Director, Products
After a DPhil in Chemistry at Oxford, Tim gained experience as both a medicinal chemist and a molecular modeller at Peptide Therapeutics and Medivir before joining Cresset in 2002.
Dr Mike Breen – Sales Manager and Account Manager for UK, Northern Europe and India
With an academic background in Biochemistry (Ph.D.) from Liverpool University and 12 years Pharmaceutical R&D experience in Drug Development and Biochemistry, Mike brings a wealth of experience to Cresset with a very extensive knowledge of IT and Informatics together with Business Solution Selling and Consultancy. He joined the team in August 2010 and is responsible for overall sales and for accounts in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, Ukraine, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and India.
Vivian Hu Adams – Account Manager for UK and Southern Europe
Viv has a BSc in Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley, and has worked in the lab as a biologist, as well as having extensive Sales experience with both SciTegic and Accelrys. She speaks French and Manadarin. Viv is responsible for sales in the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Africa.
Dr Rae Lawrence – Account Manager for USA and Canada
Rae has a very strong academic background with a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the University of Missouri. She has worked in the computational software industry for the last 9 years, including time with ACD/Labs and Chemical Computing Group in both Sales and Application Support roles. She is responsible for all sales in the US and Canada.
Dr Martin Slater- Director of Consulting
Martin studied medicinal chemistry at the Universities of Huddersfield and Leeds, and spent 14 years’ experience in the highly dynamic pharmaceutical ‘fee for service’ environment in which he supported medicinal chemistry and a diverse range of programs. Martin joined Cresset in May 2011 as Director of Consulting for a new Professional Services Division.
