After the scientific programme on Thursday there will be an opportunity to enjoy Madingley Hall and network over dinner with other delegates.
Tour of Madingley Hall
Uncover the history of the Hall which is normally closed to the public. Discover the characters who built and owned the Hall, its origins as a Tudor hunting lodge, the fortune made in the South Sea Bubble and the fortune squandered on gambling and racing. Learn about Edward VII’s stay here whilst an undergraduate at Cambridge and see the Capability Brown landscaped grounds. Climb the tower to see the 15th Century wall paintings and the medieval hammer beam roof that pre-dates the Hall by several hundred years.
Dine with the Cresset team and delegates in the elegant oak panelled dining hall.
A limited number of rooms are available at Madingley Hall on the evening of June 20.
