License file locations
To enable Cresset applications you will require a valid license file - please enquire. This file should be placed in one of the locations listed below.
Windows
Save the license file to one of these locations:

| Home directory | C:\Users\<username> |
| Documents directory | C:\Users\<username>\Documents |
| Cresset licenses directory – global installation | C:\Program Files\Cresset-BMD\Licenses |
| Cresset licenses directory – user installation | C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Cresset-BMD\Licenses |
| Custom directory | Save the license file to any directory. Start the application and click the 'Change extra directory' button. Now browse for your chosen directory. |
| Environment variable | cressetbmd_LICENSE can be used to specify the location of Cresset license files. |
If you are having problems getting the license to be auto-recognized please contact Cresset support. If you require a license file please register here or contact us.
Linux
Save the license file to one of these locations:
