Inside Sales North America, Cambridge MA

Responsible for providing inside sales support to the software and consultancy services teams.

This newly created position offers an opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a collaborative, friendly and interactive team, while personally contributing to the future growth of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales role
  • Scientific degree or higher degree – chemistry preferred
  • Experience of working in a commercial/sales environment
  • Experience using and administering Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written, oral and listening skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Proactive individual who is confident and self-motivated whether working alone and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the sales growth of the software and Cresset Discovery Services business units in North America
  • Responsible for software and Cresset Discovery Services sales to academic accounts and institutes in North America
  • Deliver and report progress against agreed commercial targets for Inside Sales to the Commercial Director
  • Update and maintain sales data (enter sales leads and ongoing sales activities) into the company CRM
  • Work with Account Managers to ensure the annual renewal of all software contracts
  • Work with the sales administration and marketing teams at head office to manage the academic program in North America
  • Represent Cresset at conferences, seminars and exhibitions within the territory
  • Work with marketing to deliver and attend conferences and exhibitions
  • Work with the finance administration team to ensure efficient purchase order processing and maintenance of existing accounts
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the North America office e.g., answering telephone, handling queries, etc
  • Ensure feedback on competitive intelligence gained from third parties

Application Scientist, India

Scientific support to local commercial team and existing customer base.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization to provide excellent scientific support to our established user base in India, as well as working alongside our commercial team to further build our customer community.

You will be a scientifically talented individual with the drive and vision to see how our outstanding software can help solve drug discovery and molecular design challenges. A confident communicator, with a strong background in computational chemistry you will effectively explain the features and benefits of Cresset software solutions to a wide audience across commercial and academic customers.

Requirements

  • Qualified to PhD level in a relevant life sciences discipline, e.g., biology, biochemistry, chemistry (chemistry preferred)
  • Experienced computational chemist or medicinal chemist with significant computational chemistry experience
  • Proven experience with both structure-based and ligand-based applications
  • Broad knowledge of molecular modeling theory and applications
  • Thorough understanding of the drug discovery process
  • 2-3 years commercial experience is preferable
  • Excellent spoken English and Hindi is a core requirement, other Language skills desired, but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Cresset software and technology as part of the sales process
  • Working with the local Country Manager and distributors, help to manage software evaluations in India
  • Keep up to date with and proficient with all Cresset applications
  • Gather and feedback on competitive intelligence gained from third parties
  • Deliver end-user training to Cresset software customers in India
  • Contribute and add to the Customer Relationship Management system for the India customer base
  • Provide feedback to development on new features and functionality required in the Cresset software applications
  • Working as part of the Cresset Support team, respond to and provide solutions to customer requests
  • Represent Cresset and attend conferences, seminars and exhibitions within the India
  • Maintain market knowledge to assist with customer communication
  • When required, test and use new Cresset products and new releases of existing applications
