Application Scientist, Torx Software

NO AGENCIES

We're looking for a product evangelist who will be the interface to the Torx customer base. The Application Scientist will work with customers and developers to define and improve the Torx platform for DMTA cycle management.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will occupy a central, customer facing role within the Torx team. Their drive, vision and enthusiasm will have a major bearing on many aspects of the Torx platform with the potential to influence the direction, features and user experience of this innovative software. Including, but not limited to:

  • Presentation of the key features of the platform to medicinal chemists from large and small pharmaceutical companies
  • Working with, listening to, and training customers on the platform
  • Creating engaging case studies and use cases that demonstrate the utility of the platform
  • Identifying, scoping and championing new features or modules that enhance the product offering
  • Working with the sales team to define customer needs and advise on the best strategy to engage with specific customers
  • Working with developers to define and implement new features
  • Travelling to conferences and customer sites to present and share their enthusiasm for the platform

Requirements

  • Experience of medicinal chemistry in a drug discovery organization
  • Computational chemistry experience preferred
  • Proven experience of working across multiple protein targets and therapeutic areas desirable
  • Working knowledge of Cresset software and/or competitive products
  • Confident presenting to small and large groups both face-to-face and virtually
  • Language skills desired, but not essential

Employment

Full time (5 days per week) with 25 days annual leave

Office based in Litlington, Cambridgeshire, UK with some travel to customers, conferences and collaborators
